Work Package 7

Evaluate

WP7 will synthesise and structure outputs from the derivation and implementation pilots in WP3-6 to inform and support scalability and equity-based initiatives in WP8.

It will formalise an overarching evaluation framework, structure the development of evidence, and perform comparative evaluations of economic impact that can support translation into durable policy solutions.

Leaders

Work Package 7 is led by the London School of Economics with support from the University of Antwerp.

Objectives

1

Develop an adaptive evaluation framework that can be used to inform urban health policy decisions aimed at reducing the burden of CVD in relation to obesity, hypertension, dyslipidaemia and diabetes.

Dyslipidemia is a metabolic disorder characterized by abnormally high or low amounts of any or all lipids (fatstriglyceridescholesterolphospholipids) or lipoproteins in the blood.

3

Inform an equity assessment of city-based strategies for CVD awareness, prevention, detection and management.

2

Evaluate the health economic impact of the Cities@Heart urban strategies for CVD awareness, prevention, detection and management.

4

Address wider factors governing CVD inequality, focusing on socio-ethical governance for the city environment.
