Work Package 3

Awareness strategy

WP3 will build on the knowledge gained in WP1 on effective awareness interventions, exploit technological innovations from WP2, and develop these to scale through a process of co-creation with key stakeholders.

Working closely with local patient and public involvement groups and community leaders, we will execute novel tailored awareness pilots that tackle the risk associated with obesity, hypertension, dyslipidaemia and diabetes for both primary and secondary CVD prevention, and evaluate changes in knowledge and behaviour in underserved communities.

Leaders

Work Package 3 is co-led by Queens University Belfast and Daiichi Sankyo Europe with support from Novartis and the European Heart Network.

Objectives

1

Improve the awareness of citizens for CVD risk and available city-level support, targeting specific underserved groups.

3

Exploit innovative technologies to co-create with all stakeholders the most appropriate metrics to evaluate the success of awareness interventions in urban environments.

2

Adapt existing resources and co-create new initiatives that educate citizens, address health inequalities and enhance awareness of CVD risk factors.

4

Evaluate the impact of awareness strategies to inform adaptation, scaling and spread to other cities.
